You’ll find many dog trainers out there, so let me be clear about what I believe and what sets me apart:

Our dogs don’t have a choice in the training methods we use-but we do. It’s our responsibility as loving guardians to teach them without hurting them or damaging the potential of our life-long relationship with them.

Dog training should be affordable to everyone -not a luxury item.

Dog training should be fun and educational for both dogs and people, not a power struggle.

Dog training should be about building trust not instituting “control.”

Dogs are not “human” and learn our rules through socialization and training. It is our job to bridge the communication gap between species. We shouldn’t punish them for being dogs when we haven’t taken the time to teach them what behaviors we do want.

Dogs do not need to be perfect (we aren’t) but they do deserve to be happy.

We cannot (and should not) punish our dogs into behaving better.
I do not use aversive methods:
No shock collars•No pinch collars•No choke collars•No alpha rolls•No leash corrections•No forcing dogs to “obey”

I use dog friendly, positive reinforcement as well as non physical punishment to train dog and their guardians throughout Colorado. Using humane, scientific learning theories, I’ll show you how to communicate with your dog so they become a happy, well-behaved, and reliable companion.

When you foster the human-animal bond (through praise, food, toys, and other forms of positive reinforcement) during training dogs learn faster, adapt better, stay calmer and remain engaged with you even while there are distractions in the environment.

Whether it’s getting puppies off to a great start, basic dog training, polite house manners or more advanced skills for off-leash hiking, having a good relationship with your dog makes everything easier – for both of you.
