The complete Namastay Canine Companion Classes

Do you have a “dog” or do you have a companion? A companion is a dog that is your friend and partner. They will listen to you because they respect you, not because they fear you. They are a polite well behaved companion in your home and around town.

My canine companion classes are designed to teach you how to communicate with your dog so that they become the companion that you desire.  This class is for quiet, friendly adult dogs over the age of 2 years.  No aggressive dogs allowed.  If you have a younger dog please see my puppy or adolescent classes.

In this set of classes we cover

· Body language and leadership-what are you really telling your dog?
· Handling by strangers-is your dog comfortable with strangers touching them? Are they easy to handle by your veterinarian?
· Sit, down, stand, stay-basic cues all dogs should know.
· Beginning Recall-and the common reasons our dogs don’t come when we call.
· Impulse control-you don’t always get what you want-how to be patient and to “leave it”.
· Waiting at the door-no more running out the door.
· Polite door greetings-no more jumping up on visitors.
· Leashing up manners-no more crazy dog at the sight of the leash.
· Beginning Leash walking-no more pulling your arm off.
· Quiet-barking is ok but when I ask you to be quiet please be quiet
· Attention & eye contact-does your dog really pay attention to you?
